Artist born in Dunedin. Studied art in Sydney and Melbourne. Resident in Auckland for some time, later Dunedin from ca 1904 or earlier. Exhibited with Auckland Society of Arts, New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington, Canterbury Society of Fine Arts, and especially with the Otago Art Society from 1904 onwards. He died in Dunedin. His paintings are mostly of the Southern lakes and mountains, the majority oils
