Peter McIntyre (1862 - 1932)

Born in Scotland, he arrived in Dunedin in 1879, where he was a painter, lithographer and cartoonist for the Otago Daily Times. It is thought that when he made a colour lithograph in 1887, he was the first to use this process in New Zealand.

Peter McIntyre 1910 to 1995.Attended Otago University the between 1931 to 1934 went to Slade School of Fine Art,
London.During WW II Peter was NZ's official War artist.
Several books of his have been published depicting his
various series etc.
Peter's work is highly sought after for Investment and Decorative .
Represented in Ak War Mem Museum,Dowse,Hocken,Te Papa,Turnbull,Sarjeant,Rotorua Museum,Govett- Brewster,Anderson Park and others.
